Deleting Is Not the Same as Cancelling

Cancelling your subscription and deleting your account are two different things.

• Cancel your subscription — billing stops. Your account stays open, your records remain stored, and you can still view and export them. You can resubscribe at any time.
• Delete your account — your account and all associated farm records are permanently erased. This is what this page describes.

If you only want to stop paying, cancel your subscription instead. You do not need to delete your account.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1 — In the app

1. Sign in to AgCert.
2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
3. Confirm when prompted.

Your account and data are removed immediately. Any active subscription is cancelled at the same time. You will be signed out and will not be able to sign back in with that email.

Option 2 — By email

If you no longer have the app installed, or you cannot sign in, send a deletion request to help@agcert.com.au from the email address on your AgCert account.

Include the words “Delete my account” in the subject line. We may contact you to confirm the request came from you before we act on it. You do not need an active subscription, and you do not need to reinstall the app, to make this request.

What Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

• Your account and sign-in credentials, including any linked Google sign-in
• Your account details — email address, farm name, operator name, state and ABN
• Your properties and paddocks
• All farm records you have entered — livestock treatments, spray records, pasture and cultivation, grain and fodder, feeding, dispatch, movements in and out, rainfall, visitor register and chemical inventory
• Your product selections and any custom products you created
• Your livestock type selections, weather station setting and app preferences
• Any label images uploaded to the AI label reader

Deletion covers all of the above. We do not retain a usable copy of your farm records after deletion.

What We Keep, and Why

A small amount of information is retained after deletion because Australian law requires it, or because of how backups work. None of it is your farm record data.

• Payment and tax records — transaction records associated with your subscription are retained for 7 years to meet Australian company record-keeping and taxation obligations. These are held by our payment provider, Stripe, and by us as financial records. They do not include your card details, which we never store.
• Encrypted backups — deleted data may persist in routine encrypted database backups for up to 30 days before those backups roll off and the data is permanently gone. Backups are not accessible to staff for normal use and are not used to restore individual accounts.

Nothing else is kept. We do not retain your farm records, and we do not sell or share your data.

How Long It Takes

• In-app deletion — your account and records are removed immediately on confirmation.
• Email request — actioned within 7 days of us verifying the request. We will email you to confirm once it is done.
• Backups — purged within 30 days, as described above.

Deleting Some Data Without Deleting Your Account

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. Individual records can be deleted from the Records screen in the app at any time, and properties, paddocks and custom products can be removed from Settings.

If you want a particular category of data removed but want to keep your account, email help@agcert.com.au and tell us what you would like removed.
