Important information about the use of AgCert.
This page summarises key points from our Terms of Use. It is not a separate agreement. If anything on this page differs from the Terms of Use, the Terms of Use govern.
AgCert is a record-keeping and information tool for agricultural businesses. It does not provide agronomic, veterinary, chemical, legal or regulatory advice. It does not certify, audit or guarantee compliance with any law or program, including LPA, and no output of AgCert is a compliance outcome. (Terms, clause 2)
The current registered product label is the authoritative source for every withholding period, export slaughter interval and use direction. Verify every value in AgCert against the label before you rely on it. If a value in AgCert differs from the label, the label governs. If in doubt, do not spray, treat, sell or process. (Terms, clause 9)
Veterinary withholding periods and export slaughter intervals come from the APVMA's export slaughter interval lists, November 2024 edition. Herbicide grazing withholding periods are read from APVMA PUBCRIS label text. Each value carries a marker showing where it came from, including in reports and exports. Values you enter yourself are marked as user-entered and are your responsibility. Product data is point-in-time. (Terms, clauses 8 and 9)
Current Australian conditions come from WillyWeather, incorporating Bureau of Meteorology data. Historical data comes from Open-Meteo. Weather information and Delta T values are a guide only. Always confirm conditions on-farm immediately before spraying or treating. (Terms, clauses 8 and 9)
AI-read batch numbers and dates can be wrong. Check every scanned value against the physical label before you save it. (Terms, clause 9)
You are responsible for the accuracy of your records, for holding the licences and permits required to buy and apply agricultural chemicals, for following the current registered label, and for complying with the laws and program requirements that apply to your operation. (Terms, clauses 2 and 7)
Our liability is set out in clause 12 of the Terms of Use. Nothing in AgCert excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
Withholding periods (WHP) for meat and milk and Export Slaughter Intervals (ESI) for veterinary products are sourced from the APVMA Export Slaughter Interval lists for cattle and sheep (November 2024). Grazing withholding periods for herbicides are sourced from registered label text in the APVMA PUBCRIS public register (May 2026 export). Seed and fertiliser entries are compiled by Bluegrass Pastoral Pty Ltd and carry no withholding-period data. Contains APVMA data licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia.
The catalogue is not a complete list of every product registered or sold in Australia, and not every withholding period in AgCert is taken from a product label. Each value is marked with its origin:
WHPs may vary by application rate, species, and regional registration conditions, and labels change over time. The catalogue is refreshed when the APVMA or MLA publish updated lists, not on a fixed schedule. Always verify against the current product label before treating, spraying, processing or selling livestock. A plain-language summary of the catalogue is on the Features page.
